A quick little post featuring some wintery photos of my sister Ashley. I was testing out a lens that day and she’s always up for modelling. The Night before there was a big snowfall in Drumheller and it was that great sticky snow that clung to the trees and just looked amazing in the background. Thanks ash for playing around with me and for always being so damn photogenic :P love ya!!
I had been looking forward to february all year long …. I was once again returning to Las Vegas for WPPI, a massive photography convention for wedding and portrait photographers. This year was extra special since my buddy Janine of Janine Sept Photography was able to be there and I also got to spend some time with her friend Meg of Meg Courtney Photography. Feeling crazy inspired and eager to shoot …. the three of us hit the strip my last day there for an impromptu photoshoot. Janine got all dolled up to model for Meg and I and Wowsers did she look gorgeous. I had a blast with this two wonderful girls and I already can’t wait to go back next february. Here’s a few of my faves :)

So after my first destination wedding in Mexico I jumped onto a plane and was off to Cuba for my second. I made it there with just enough time to check out the resort and basically catch up on sleep after being awake for a solid 48 hours… yes crazy but so worth it!! Amelie and Jonathan are such a wonderful couple So happy and in love and the way they intact with each other is bound to just make you smile and say “awww”. The ceremony was beautiful and I was thrilled that afterwards they had rented an old taxi to rip us away for some quick formal photos. One of the coolest things about Veradero was the crazy amount of old cars on the streets. Afterwards we headed back to the resort to join the guests for the reception… so many happy tears and heartfelt moments. Then everyone piled onto the dance floor to party the rest of the night away. Such a great day and an amazing Day after session to top it all off.

Last month on a really random warm day …. I grabbed my gear and one of my besties to go take some wintery shots in the lovely afternoon sun. Tash had just recently changed her hair colour to red and she is now back to a lighter auburn colour so it was nice to capture her time as a redhead which she totally rocked. With such a beautiful girl, great style and amazing light it was really hard not to go overboard with this plus it had been awhile since I had my camera out which always makes me super antsy. These are some of my fave shots …. thanks again Tash for the awesome day. love ya!!

This past November I had the massive privilege of shooting Jacqueline and Blair’s Destination wedding just outside of Puerto Vallarta. This was such a huge deal for me…. my very first destination wedding. This is my ultimate goal in photography…. to travel all over the world to shoot weddings and by Jacqueline and Blair allowing me to capture their day it made me feel as if I took a big step towards that goal. Here are some of my favourite images from the wedding day and also the day after session….. everything was so ridiculously beautiful and Jacqueline really outdid herself with all of the details and of course made an absolutely stunning bride as I knew she would.
Jaqueline and Blair I will always be so ridiculously grateful to both of you for hiring me as your wedding photographer. I had such a great time with you both and also with your wonderful friends and family. HUGS!!!!
