Jill and Alex’s wedding took place on Good Friday at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff on one of the most beautiful days you could ever imagine …. a day where the mountain scenery looked almost too good to be true. This day was also extra special since I had one of my 2011 brides as my assistant for the day. Kristin is now building her own wedding photography business and I was completely floored and honoured that she looked towards me for advice and to gain a little bit of experience second shooting.

Jill and Alex are one of the most adorable couples ever …. they’re so playful and cute you just can’t help but smile so big when seeing them together. After the ceremony it was so fun going out for photos with the two of them and their two best friends as the bridal party. Although the sun was shining it was still pretty chilly but the girls did so good…. I am always so proud of brides and bridesmaids that will withstand the cold to get the outdoor shots. Also love when couples are into getting a little goofy …. they both had a pair of bright blue and pink shades that they brought along and made for some really fun shots. This wedding was just so full of love and emotion between these two families and all their friends …. the whole day just felt like one big warm hug.
